Evangelism Practicum

Practicum = n. A school or college course, especially one in a specialized field of study, that is designed to give students supervised practical application of previously studied theory. Dictionary.com. The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition. Houghton Mifflin Company, 2004.

So, we have been offering the Way of the Master training courses for a few years now. It's time for us to add another dimension to that training. So, allow me to introduce you to the Evangelism Practicum.

What will this be about? Well, one of the biggest fear factors in evangelism is the fear of the unknown. And sometimes, we stay in hiding because we are fearful of one day coming across that tough question or hostile person that we do not know how to respond to. The Evangelism Practicum is designed to help tackle that fear by giving you a chance to practice tough situations before encountering them in the real world.

Would you like to open-air preach, but feel too fearful of actually stepping on the box? How about stepping up there around people who will encourage and support you?

Fearful of talking to an atheist? Why not role play that conversation and try different ways of addressing their objections so you become more comfortable in that kind of conversation?

Don't know what you'd say to a Roman Catholic? Why not work through that in a safe environment?

Whether you are a seasoned evangelist or have yet to share the Gospel with anyone, the Evangelism Practicums will be your chance to work through those tough spots or uncertain areas when it comes to evangelism.
