The 2009 Evangelism Boot Camp on August 28-30 (have you registered yet?) is fast approaching! The registration deadline is August 1st - don't miss out! Remember two things about the Boot Camp:
1)If money is a problem, please let us know and we will scholarship you
2)You will not be forced to do anything that you do not want to do, but we will challenge you
That being said, here is the plan for our times "on the street." What we are able to do will depend largely on how many attend the Boot Camp. Some of what is listed here may not get done if the attendance is low, and other things may be added if the attendance is high. The trip marked "Primary" is definite, while the "Secondary" options will depend on attendance.
FRIDAY (NEW INFORMATION!) - Following the opening service of the Boot Camp, those who are interested in invited to join us as we head over to a local high school football game to hand out tracts to people as they leave the game.
SATURDAY - EARLY AFTERNOON
Primary: Prayer Station at Huntington Beach. This will allow time for handing out tracts and one-to-one conversations.
Secondary: Handing out tracts and one-to-one conversations at Bohlken Park, the West Side Market and Lakewood Park.
In Case of Rain: Cell phone and role-playing conversations in local coffee shops and a local mall.
SATURDAY - LATE AFTERNOON
Primary: Prayer Station at North Olmsted Wal-Mart (still pending authorization).
Secondary: Handing out tracts and one-to-one conversations on Detroit Rd. (stoplight preaching is also possible here). Witnessing at Edgewater Park.
In Case of Rain: Tracting at drive-thru windows and in stores.
SATURDAY NIGHT
Primary: Open-air preaching, handing out tracts and one-to-one conversations at Lakewood Park. All will be a part of this, there is no secondary option.
In Case of Rain: There will have to be significant rain to change our plans for this night. If rain is heavy, we will do more of what was done during the day. We may also hold a time in the Fellowship hall for people to practice open-air preaching.
SUNDAY AFTERNOON
Primary: Handing out tracts at North Olmsted Community Parade. All will participate in this, there is no secondary option. If time allows, we will head into North Olmsted Park to hand out tracts and engage people in one-to-one conversations.
In Case of Rain: We will again go to stores, as well as gas stations, to hand out tracts and have cell phone or role-playing conversations in food courts and coffee shops.
Please know that there is a chance that plans may change, but it is not likely. We will continue to set up plans if we should have several teams at the Boot Camp. We will also find other ways to witness should the rain be heavy.
Please register for the Boot Camp TODAY at http://www.lighthousealliance.org/
